Movie “Ghost in the shell 2: Innocence” is a film produced by Mamoru Oshii in 2004.
Actually, this story is not completed only by the film. It is a one of series of “Kokaku-kidoutai”, so it’s too difficult to understand the story whithout preliminary knowledge.
So, is it easy to understand if you have any preliminary knowledge? -The answer is No.
The content in the film itself is too difficult to understand.
I watched the movie at the first time when my friend offered to me, but I couldn’t understand the content at all.
However, I felt that the film deals with a critical problem, and I was drawn into movie’s world appealed to beatiful pictures.
Although it can be felt various way because of dealing with philosophical theme, I want to give my opinion here.

What Is It That Oneself Exists?
A deep question is being during the drama about the self-consciousness that only a human being will have while letting a doll confront a human being.
Descartes (1596-1650) proposed “discretion dualism”, and the person sometimes catches a heart and a body as a different thing and may learn uneasiness in grounds of one’s existence.
After the self as the body reached death, as for oneself as the soul, the question where you would really go for should have had been repeated from the ancient times.
In the first place why will the human being have self-consciousness? Besides, is it only a human being to really have self-consciousness?
I think that the existence of “words” has the key to solve the question.
It is said that the person enabled two by being able to speak words.
One is “communicating” and is “thinking” one more.
The person came to do a high thought by using words.
The words enabled what they expressed to the abstract thing such as “God” and “a heart” as well as the thing which existed in the world.
Would “God” exist when there were not words?
Would “the heart” exist when there were not words?
And did “oneself” exist when there were not words?
I think like that the self-consciousness may be something like fantasy to be managed on the existence of words.
It will be managed on such an interpretation that “there is me in because of (I consider) yearning for me” that Descartes say.
Then thinking that it is only a human being to have self-consciousness how.
They may have self-consciousness if there is an animal making full use of a high language like a human being or if an android can do it.
